Christian Bale, From Batman to Chinese Movie

Apparently there is one good reason for Christian Bale to take off his Batman suit and never to put it back again in the next installments of Batman movie. The actor has planned to taste a different culture than the futuristic and metropolis Gotham City. He has also set his destination Far East, in China. And it also seems that his fans will not see him in Hollywood movie in anytime closer, since Christian Bale is set to star a Chinese film titled The Flowers of War. As it is also mentioned by Hollywood Reporter, this will also means the first chance for Chinese film industry to use Westerner in their movies.

The Flowers of War will not at all a small movie, since it is reporter to be produced with amazing $100 million. Zhang Yimou is also set to sit as a director for the movie, following a story taken from a famous novel, The 13 Women of Nanjing. Presenting a historical drama, of course the movie will catch a lot of attraction by hiring Christian Bale, who himself is a successful and famous Hollywood actor with Oscar quality.

The Flowers of War is set to be a pilot project of using Westerner in the industry. If the movie gains success from it, it is predicted that many movie productions will do the same thing by hiring Hollywood actor and actress to work in China. As for Christian Bale, he will play as an American mortician visiting China and accidentally putting himself in a war. Bale also admitted that it is the adventure aspect that attracts him to feel another experience in other movie industry but Hollywood. The actor himself has just finished filming the latest installment of Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises to be released next year. For The Flower of War, it will be premiered in US in late December, one week after being released in China by December 16.
